Jimmy Little has raised his voice more generously than anyone I know in Australia He had barely got out of hospital himself and I saw him one night with his guitar, speaking and singing to the Aboriginal doctors who are trying to tackle this health crisis we’ve got in our own back yard and I think that’s what Jimmy’s Foundation is going to focus us on as a nation.
This cluster of chronic illnesses that’s cutting the heart out of a generation really are all treatable, screenable, preventable illnesses.
We’ve just got to make the effort to get started to get the younger lives – to get the education in place, and then the health care in place for all of our people and it will be better and Jimmy Little has that healing power in his hands and he wants you to be part of it.
